19-day vacation has been a very much needed for the longest. lots of things happened last week. birthday on the 4th, Cinco de mayo on the 5th and a few days after was Mother's Day on the 8th.

But now is the time to wind down because I must be going back to work starting on the 10th. good news though, is that I will be taking another mini vacation right after since I have tons of vacation time left to use up before the end of the year comes up.

We are now feeling the rise in temperatures as the upper 90's are here and its hot enough to fry an egg on the hood of someone's car. I wouldn't want to be that egg lol.

In other news, my garden is doing pretty nicely. carrots and corn are sprouting like they should. fingers crossed I have a decent crop this year. I also purchase some baby chicks. 13 of them total, I got one for free. they are pretty healthy and looks like they will stay that way for the foreseeable future. I will try to get a picture in if I can.

Here in the month of May is mental awareness month. which is from the 1st until the 31st. this is not something to ignore, and statistics show that over 1/3 of people living in America suffers from some sort of Co-Occurring mental health or Addiction disorder, with 1 out of 25 adults from 10 million living with serious mental illness.

I have prepared some quotes that is used for support and comfort since I myself had a struggle with mental illness when I was younger.

I understand your pain. Trust me, I do. I’ve seen people go from the darkest moments in their lives to living a happy, fulfilling life. You can do it too. I believe in you. You are not a burden. You will never be a burden. Mental health problems don’t define who you are. They are something you experience. You walk in the rain, and you feel the rain, but you are not the rain. You are not your illness. You have an individual story to tell. You have a name, a history, a personality. Staying yourself is part of the battle. Change what you can, manage what you can’t.

Here is an ending of a quote that I used to go by when I was in that state many years ago.

I am bent, but not broken. I am scarred, but not disfigured. I am sad, but not hopeless. I am tired, but not powerless. I am angry, but not bitter. I am depressed, but not giving up.
