Farewell 2022! 2023 is almost here! normally people does the traditional new years resolution thing, but not me lol. because somewhere along the line, resolutions are not kept due to slip up's. but I will talk about my reflections. '22 was a mixed bag. so it really wasn't bad, but at the same time it wasn't good. but it has made me realized that the positive influences overrides the negative ones.
Friendships is one of them, despite having issues with "few" people who tried to give me guilt trips to benefit their own narratives in the past, it made me realize who my real friends are vs. the ones who only wanted me around when it benefitted them.
Good Health! as some of you may know, cancer has lost its battle towards me hitting its 3 year mark and with more test's next year to see if those cells are not coming back, I am hoping to turn "remission" into "cured". it will make me feel a lot better once its official on my medical records. but with that, it has made me realize life in a whole new meaning, considering the very close calls that I had.
Life! which leads to this next topic. I found out that a friend of mine recently passed away. I won't go into any additional details, but she was a good friend and will be very missed. this quote everyone should always follow, it goes: "The value of life lies not in the length of days, but in the use we make of them... Whether you find satisfaction in life depends not on your tale of years, but on your will."
Reflections: If you reflect on the things you did right, on your successes, that allows you to celebrate every little success. It allows you to realize how much you've done right, the good things you've done in your life. Without reflection, it's too easy to forget these things, and focus instead on our failures.
To end the 2022 year, I wish all of you a happy new year into 2023 and the beginning of starting fresh. reflect on the good things that you did and if you did any wrong doings, correct those into right doings, starting on Jan 1st 2023. drink responsibly!
Lastly stay warm! weather has been going through its metamorphous, Dallas had 2 days of below 10 degree weather back to 76 degree weather. I am staying in Galveston island for new years vacation and here its close to 80 currently. you would think spring break is happening now, insanity!
